A renowned medical practitioner in the fields of Critical Care and Diabetology, Dr. Aravind Vijayan established Lister Hospitals in Marthandam, Tamil Nadu on October 24, 2009. He obtained his medical degree from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu in 1998 and began his career as a Duty Medical Officer at Kanyakumari Medical Mission between 1999 and 2000. In 2001, he resumed his studies and obtained a Master's Degree in General Medicine in 2004. Dr. Aravind's expertise in Diabetology was acknowledged by the University of Newcastle, Australia, which granted him a Fellowship. In 2004, he served as a Consultant Diabetologist at Madras Medical Mission, Chennai.

In 2005, Dr. Aravind began working as a Medical Practitioner in the Critical Care and Diabetology Department at Hindu Mission Hospital in Chennai. He also served as a Critical Care Physician at KIMS Hospital between 2006 and 2007. In 2009, Dr. Aravind established Lister MTM with the aim of providing multi-specialty medical services to the rural population in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu. Despite its modest beginnings, Lister Hospital has evolved into a super-specialty hospital in Marthandam, equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and cutting-edge diagnostic and medical treatment procedures.
